This is a "Fully Functional" hand forged, high carbon steel katana. (Razor Sharp) This sword features a full tang with a double pegged tsuka (handle) for safety. A one piece brass habaki (blade collar), Japanese purpose silk wrap sageo and ito. Real ray skin same and a black lacquered wooded saya (scabbard) The blade is traditionally hardened to a HRC 55 and has a Bo HI groove (fuller) for lightness and stability.
